Luis Guerrero

Coach Luis graduated from Leland High School in San Jose, California where he was a four-year letterman at Center Back and Center Midfielder. He was a 3 Time All- League player and captain of the squad his Junior and Senior year. He played two years at Mission College and two years at CSUEB in Hayward, being named Team MVP and receiving All-Conference recognition at both schools. 


After college, he played a few seasons of minor league soccer in the PSL, PASL and NPSL before deciding to focus on getting his teaching credential and Master's Degree in Education. Coach Luis has been coaching since he was still playing in college and has several years of experience coaching High school and Club soccer in the Bay Area and here in Oregon. Coach has Luis has helped develop several players who have gone on to play at all the different levels of collegiate soccer and professionally. 


Before beginning his work with the 2012 Boys he had a string of successful seasons with his GPS 2004 Boys who won the 2018 Oregon State Cup Title and his OUFC 2003 Boys who won a Regional and National title in 2019.


 His favorite soccer memory is being invited to training sessions with the San Jose Clash of the MLS (now the San Jose Earthquakes) and having the experience of training with and playing against the first team. 


During his spare time, Coach Luis likes to spend time with his family. He thoroughly enjoys listening to music and is a big fan of not only soccer but also NFL, NBA, MLB and Boxing.
